Anna Cleveland is a watercolor artist based in Southwest Montana. Her work is rooted in an appreciation for subtlety—the liminal spaces where atmosphere, form, and emotion meet. She is especially drawn to birds, painting them as quiet study subjects for observing pattern, posture, and presence. Influenced by minimalism and Japanese aesthetics, her paintings distill each subject down to its essential lines, negative space, and tonal nuance.

Raised in Dubois, Wyoming, Anna grew up in a rugged, isolated expanse of the American West, where wildlife, weather, and landscape formed the backdrop of daily life. These early experiences shaped her sensitivity to movement, stillness, and the dialogue between humans and the natural world. Her work reflects this sensibility: muted palettes, organic textures, and a contemplative spaciousness that echoes the environment that raised her.

Alongside her visual art, Anna is the creator of DECIDUOUS, a seasonal movement and wellness platform inspired by the intelligence of nature. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance and has spent more than a decade studying movement, meditation, fascia, and breathwork. This background informs her artistic perspective—both her paintings and her teaching revolve around rhythm, seasonality, and the unseen forces that shape internal experience.
